I just wondered why the Danemann Walnut for sale has a different Danemann emblem on it. It's strange it's very rare because according to the records i have, this model was never registered as a danemann.

Here in New Zealand we are fortunate to have Danemann pianos here. I own the Danemann concert grand from the original wellington town hall. It holds a spectacular presence in my living room and brings hours of joy to myself and other musicians who come to play it.smile

At the grand age of 52 I have started to learn to play the piano - my view is, its never too late - its always something I've wanted to do. I have a Danemann upright that was a school piano, but would like to find out something about it - how do I do this?

My grandmother bought a Danemann baby grand for me at Harrods in 1968. Sadly I now have to sell it. It is such a beautiful instrument and the tone is lovely. It is with a heavy heart that I am parting with it, but needs must. Any advice as to how much to ask for it please?

That 1938 Walnut/Leopard veneer upright [now sold] is truly a beautiful piece; a visual work of art as well as a fine instrument.

Whilst the Japanese and Chinese can mass produce good instruments, they make nothing to compete with these hand-crafted labours of love as pieces of furniture, as well as practical instruments.

My father Richard worked with Stanley Murdoch at Harrods and eventually took over from him as piano buyer. He knew Tom Danemann well. I have a Danemann walnut upright that I am reluctantly trying to sell at the moment. Father bought it from Harrods around 1960/70. I don't have much idea on what price to ask and wondered whether you might help or be interested?
